We’ve long been advocates of barefoot and minimalist running shoes. So, since it’s National Running Day, we thought we’d share a few of our top picks for barefoot and minimalist running shoes.
Barefoot running shoes came to the masses in 2009 and instantly received strong reaction. Many were quick to ascribe to the philosophies behind barefoot running and eager to slip their toes, one by one, into the 5.7 ounce shoes. Others, on the other hand, were deterred by their…interesting appearance. Luckily, however, the craze caught on quickly, and many shoe manufacturers now offer footwear that enthusiastic barefoot runners can wear in public without getting too many strange looks.
