A New Way to Shop for Organic, GMO-Free Foods

by

When I talk to people about the importance of choosing organic food when grocery shopping, they often have one of two excuses as to why they don’t. Either they don’t have easy access to a grocery store that stocks a variety of organic products, or it simply costs too much.

Both of these excuses are understandable, but now there’s a solution that addresses both of these concerns. Green PolkaDot Box (GPDB), a new nationwide delivery service offering natural and organic foods at up to 60% off the retail price, is finally open for business. This means that families across the U.S. can now order organic, GMO-free groceries for a fraction of the prices they see in retail stores, and have it delivered anywhere in the country.

Live in the Now is proud to support Green PolkaDot Box in their mission of making high quality natural and organic foods more accessible in the U.S.  I’m also personally thrilled about using this new service and am excited to share it with you.

Here are 4 reasons why I’m so excited about GPDB being open for business:

1. Accessibility: It’s a sad reality that many Americans don’t have access to organic food choices. Truth is, there are several “organic food deserts” across the nation. These are areas where for hundreds of miles, grocery stores that offer certified organic products simply do not exist. The elimination of these organic food deserts is one of Green PolkaDot Box’s key objectives. By offering reasonably priced shipping to every zip code nationwide, GPDB has made natural, organic and GMO-free foods available in many parts of our country for the first time (in recent years).

2. Quality Guarantee: Green PolkaDot Box only accepts brands that are certified organic or confirmed to be all natural and GMO-free. Green PolkaDot Box takes the time to scrutinize every brand that they allow into their program so that their members don’t have to worry about the safety of the foods they offer. I’ve heard too many stories lately about Big Food brands like Tropicana and Frito-Lay misleading consumers with terms like “all natural” and expecting the American people to be stupid enough to fall for it. These GMO-laden products need not be associated with brands that work hard to provide high quality, clean foods to consumers.

3. Convenience:< I love that I can shop from my home or office. I have two sons, run a business and like to stay active. Being able to order anytime, day or night, is priceless. I just login to my account, place an order, and in just a few days my organic foods arrive. It saves me both time and money. When ordering food from home, it’s easy to take a quick inventory of my kitchen, which makes meal planning and grocery shopping more efficient overall.

4. Cost: Last but certainly not least, GPDB’s lower prices are something that everyone can appreciate. Because Green PolkaDot Box works directly with manufacturers, they are able to cut out much of the “middle man” expenses that drive up the costs of organic goods in the grocery store. Many products are available for 25-60% off the retail price.

When you sign up you will be offered two membership options. If you think that you will be ordering frequently (2-3 times a month), the Rewards Membership is probably the most cost-effective option for you. If you think that you may order only once a month or so, the Club Membership is likely the way to go. Since it is important to me that our readers have access to natural, organic and GMO-free foods, we will be giving away Green PolkaDot Box memberships throughout the year on our Facebook and Twitter pages, so be sure to follow along.
