Sceletium: How This Breakthrough Naturally “Rewires” Your Anxious Brain

Do you know what the #1 most overlooked risk factor is when it comes to your heart, brain and longevity? It’s stress.

Unfortunately, too many of us are under constant stress these days — plagued with everything from long commutes and pressure at work to family difficulties and financial strain. And it’s making us sick and tired.

It’s easy to imagine how stress can contribute to psychological conditions like anxiety and mood swings, but did you know that chronic stress can also ravage your body? Studies have concretely linked stress to a wide range of serious health problems including:[1]

  • Cardiovascular issues
  • Poor digestion
  • Elevated cholesterol
  • High blood sugar
  • High blood pressure
  • Weight gain
  • Cognitive decline
  • Sleep disorders
  • Impaired immunity
  • Low sex drive

And of course, the disastrous effects of chronic stress extend well beyond your physical health. Research has shown that stress can negatively impact your relationships, productivity and overall quality of life.[2]

While it may not be possible to avoid stressful situations, there is a simple, safe and effective way to increase your ability to handle stress and mitigate the harmful effects it has on your body, while boosting your mood, brainpower and energy.

It’s True: Stress Can Kill You

Your body is programmed to respond beautifully to short, intense periods of stress. This is known as the fight-or-flight response. When your brain perceives a threat to your survival, your adrenal glands flood your body with stress hormones that increase your strength, speed and ability to think quickly.

The trouble is, when you’re under the kind of chronic stress that so many of us face in this day and age, stress hormones circulate throughout your body constantly. Your adrenal glands eventually lose the ability to function properly, leading to a cascade of health problems. You begin to feel sick, tired, depressed and irritable.

Leading experts have cited chronic stress as the #1 most overlooked health risk facing Americans today. And recent research has shown that stress upsets hormonal balance in a manner that can kill your sex drive and actually accelerate the aging process.[3] In fact, one breakthrough study showed that chronic stress could shorten your lifespan by up to six years![4]

Other research has also shown that stress impairs your immune system, making you vulnerable to infections, autoimmune conditions and other serious health concerns.[5] Stress also increases your risk of having a heart attack or stroke, contributes to cognitive decline and upsets blood sugar balance, which can lead to weight gain.[6,7]

The bottom line is, if you’re suffering from chronic stress, it’s imperative that you take action now to keep it from destroying your health, taking years off your life — and sucking the life out of your years.

The Natural Stress Fighter That Works in 30 Minutes

As part of my work researching the world’s vast array of natural remedies, I’ve recently come across mind-blowing new studies on a plant-based stress fighter that also has incredibly powerful mood boosting effects. You won’t hear about it from your doctor, and Big Pharma is doing all they can to keep it under wraps.

But you deserve to know about it.

Emerging research is showing that an extract of a plant indigenous to South Africa, called Sceletium tortuosum has amazing potential to mitigate the effects of stress, while boosting your mood, brainpower and energy. Sceletium has shocked researchers with its remarkable ability to brighten mood, dissolve tension and enhance cognitive function — all within as little as 30 minutes![8,9]

What I like most about sceletium is that it is not a stimulant. It has virtually no known side effects or interactions, is not habit forming — and you can get all the benefits with just one small capsule per day.

Renowned medicine hunter, Chris Kilham, described the effects of sceletium with this simple metaphor:

“Think of your mind as a reasonably well-tuned four-cylinder engine. About half an hour after consuming sceletium, your mind is more like a twelve cylinder, turbo-charged racing engine. Soon your mind is overcome with startling clarity, a feeling that anything is possible, and a seemingly endless capacity for ideas and mental work. If coffee is a pick-me-up, sceletium is a jet ride to mental brilliance.”

Sceletium Rewires Your Brain for Happiness

Could sceletium be the natural “happy pill” we’ve all been searching for? Researchers are saying that sceletium’s mechanism of action is unlike anything they’ve seen before. It essentially works by quickly boosting your levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin, the “happy chemical.”[10]

At the same time, sceletium increases levels of an important messenger substance called cAMP, and this has been shown to produce beneficial effects on mood and cognitive function in stressful situations.[10,11]

Most people report that after taking sceletium, they feel a sense of relief and comfort and notice a lift in their mood and mental clarity within as little as 30 minutes.

The Incredible Benefits of Sceletium

  • Quickly elevates mood
  • Improves sleep quality
  • Improves focus and memory
  • Lowers stress hormone levels
  • Enhances cognitive function
  • Protects heart health
  • Boosts energy and motivation
  • Supports immunity
  • Eases everyday anxiety
  • Fights food cravings
  • Promotes relaxation
  • Increases libido
  • Non-habit forming
  • Will not make you drowsy

How to Make Sceletium Work for You

There is currently only one patented, standardized sceletium extract available. It’s called Zembrin®, and it’s actually the only legal source of sceletium. So I highly recommend that if you plan to give sceletium a try, you stick with the Zembrin brand. Additionally, Zembrin is what was used in all of the research studies demonstrating sceletium’s remarkable benefits.

Zembrin can be difficult to gain access to because production is limited, so watch out for impostor products out there. I’ve seen a few companies using the Zembrin name without authorization, and who knows what they’re using instead!

Research has shown that the most effective dose is 25 mg per day, and this amount should only require one small pill per day. If the formula requires you to take more than this, it’s a sure sign it contains a Zembrin knock-off or lots of needless fillers.

The Sceletium Supplement I Recommend

The science behind sceletium is rock solid. The problem is, finding a high-quality sceletium supplement can be difficult. I’ve been dismayed by the sheer number of cheap knock-offs. And the few supplements I’ve found that are actually made with the Zembrin brand are absurdly expensive.

That’s why I worked with the Scientific Advisory Board at my nutritional supplement company Stop Aging Now to develop an effective AND affordable sceletium supplement that I call CalmTrex®. Because of our over 20-year track record in developing high quality dietary supplements, Stop Aging Now is one of the few companies licensed to use the Zembrin brand of sceletium.

For a limited time, Live in the Now readers can get CalmTrex for as low as $16.50 a bottle — plus FREE SHIPPING. I encourage you to take advantage of this great deal. Click here to take advantage of this special offer.

I’ve been taking CalmTrex for over a year now, and I honestly don’t think I could keep pace with my busy schedule without it. CalmTrex helps me stay relaxed, focused and energized all day long, and then I sleep like a baby at night. I wake up refreshed and ready to take on the day.

I encourage you to do your own research to make sure I’m not just shamelessly promoting my own product. But here is why I’m confident that CalmTrex is simply your best option for mood enhancement, stress relief and cognitive health support:

  • Made with Zembrin: CalmTrex features Zembrin, which is the only patented extract and legal source of sceletium, and production is limited, so it’s extremely hard to get ahold of.
  • The Right Dose: CalmTrex provides the optimal 25 mg dose of Zembrin, which is what the research has shown to provide the most benefits.
  • Enhanced with Vitamin B12 and Lemon Balm: CalmTrex is the only sceletium supplement that features vitamin B12 and lemon balm extract for enhanced mood and energy support, stress relief and cognitive protection.
  • Only 1 Small Pill Per Day: CalmTrex is so concentrated that you only need to take one small capsule per day, making it incredibly convenient, especially for those who don’t like taking pills.
  • Safe, Effective and Made in a FDA-inspected Facility: CalmTrex is made in a FDA-inspected facility. It’s a non-habit forming and non-drowsy formula, and its safety and effectiveness are fully guaranteed.
  • Affordable and Risk-Free: This amazing formula is available for as low as $16.50 per bottle for a one-month supply. Plus it ships to you for free and comes with an “any reason” 365-day guarantee.

For a limited time, Live in the Now readers can get CalmTrex for as low as $16.50 a bottle — plus FREE SHIPPING. I encourage you to take advantage of this great deal.

I am going to stop getting the very useful and most valuable information from you because I do not have the time to weed through the chit chat I am so very busy with a full time job family and most importantly church I wish you could just get to the point

    • Casie Terry says:

Thanks for the feedback! We do tend to get chatty, but we’ll take that into account in the future. All our best!

    • Willie says:

This is for Milda, Janet and everyone else who might feel that all this info is too chatty!

Not everyone is as informed as you all claim to be. I myself am a Health and Fitness professional and I surely do not claim to know everything. I’m very sure that most of the individuals that read this info, will find it both interesting and helpful. “I surely do!

No one is forcing you to read all of the info! You all sound like you definitely need to be on CalmTrex or something even stronger!!! :-)

      • Casie Terry says:

        Thanks for chiming in, Willie!

You’re so right, and this is exactly why we try to be as thorough as possible when explaining the research.

        In good health!

  2. Florence says:

Regarding your CalmTrex, If I am taking Antidepressants but I have difficulty sleeping and although Xanax works to help me sleep I have been resisting taking it. If
I think it is my norm to sleep about 5 hours a night. Does your product help with sleep. I do use another Calm Tabs product by Puritans Pride and Melatonin and Magnesium before going to sleep.
If I did try your product could I get the 8 months and pay it monthly at the 16 dollar price? If it doesn’t work would I get my money back.
Your product sounds great. Does it keep the house clean and pay the bills paid also? Hahaha

    • Casie Terry says:

      Hi Florence,

Wouldn’t that be nice! Well, stress is often what keeps people awake, so in that respect it may help. However, there are no sleep inducing effects, and it is fine to take during the day. Hopefully that helps! And yes, you can order however many bottles you’d like and if it’s just not for you, you can return the product, empty bottles and all, for a refund.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

      All our best!

Would this sceletium product elevate blood pressure?

  4. irene olsen says:

does your product contain magnesium citrate which I am allergic to.

    • Carolyn Banach, MS, RD says:

Thank you for your interest! The CalmTrex product does not contain magnesium citrate. You can review all of the ingredients under the blue “Ingredients” tab on the special offer page.

  5. Milda Thompson says:

I totally agree with the person who said there is far too much ‘chit-chat”. We already know that stuff. Please get to the point and stop wasting our time.

  6. Russell Powell says:

Gentlemen: Can your Calm Trex be taken with blood thinner ( Xarelto) ? Thanks

    • Carolyn Banach, MS, RD says:

To my knowledge, there are no interactions with CalmTrex and the medication Xarelto. However, CalmTrex should not be taken with prescription depression or anxiety medications. To be safe, I would recommend talking to your Pharmacist about using the herb Sceletium tortuosum, the active herb in this supplement. They will be able to best determine if there will be an unsafe interaction.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Kathy,

I have used B12 with 3000 mcg for several years have suffered no side effects.

  10. Brian Crocker says:

I’ve been taking xanax for over 30 years. What kind of side effects could be expected?

  11. Brian Crocker says:

CalmTrex should not be taken with prescription depression or anxiety medications. WHY?

    • Carolyn Banach, MS, RD says:

Thank you for participating in this discussion. Sceletium tortuosum can increase levels of the neurotransmitter serotonin. This is an action that also occurs with most anti-depression and anti-anxiety medications. Increasing serotonin levels too much can be harmful. Therefore, it is imperative that you talk to your Physician before taking CalmTrex if you are on these medications.

  12. Ageless says:

Thank you Irene Olsen. Your question is exactly what I want to know. All this health talk and still using
magnesium citrate is miss leading. I would like to include, “what health benefit does magnesium citrate
give us”, if any? NONE that I’m aware of. Maybe Mr. Joshau Corn should answer.

    • Carolyn Banach, MS, RD says:

Thank you for your interest. Our CalmTrex product does not contain magnesium citrate nor does the above article discuss the use of magnesium citrate. To answer your question however, there is no such thing as a 100% magnesium supplement. The substance used in any given magnesium supplement combination can affect the absorption and provides slightly different health benefits. Magnesium citrate is magnesium with citric acid, which is a form with laxative properties. The following article has a chart that goes over the different forms available:

  13. Santhosh says:

This sounds too good! Should we keep consuming the pills for our lifetime to continue getting the benefits?

    • Carolyn Banach, MS, RD says:

Thank you for your comment Santhosh.

CalmTrex should ideally be taken on an as needed basis. My suggestion would be to take it on days where you are having or expect to have increased stress and anxiety. If this is on a daily basis, then yes you could take the CalmTrex daily.

  14. ebb borregaard says:

    Hello, Joshua,
This is the first time I’ve noticed a commentary column attached to a pitch. I am also one sensitive
to hype levels. Your sponsers sometimes have
endless BS, assuming the reader has endless patience, before they bang the product they sell.
And the product is often a fraud.
I’m so sensitized to that type of shill, I now recognize it from almost the first sentence as garbage. Get To the Point…then go all out on the connective tissue. You write well. But your energy is obviously to sell…and that comes through too well…and likely pushes this reader’s ‘off ‘ button.

One of the things that truly bugs me is selling
supplements in 30s…in monthly installments…which toggles on the OMG button… I’m going to have to take this pill for the rest of my life.
Not only that, one bottle penalizes me by costing
more than two, and way more than six. You may have got my interest, but the slap turns me off.

Not only that, but if I ordered all the supplements I’m supposed to take to get and stay healthy, it’s going to cost me $600.00 a month!

I don’t like to think of vitamins as pharmaceuticals. (I asked the doctor, how long will I have to take my prescription? FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!)
There HAS to be a curative promise to supplements, otherwise why bother with them?
Pharmaceuticals are for ‘chronic lifestyle diseases’. If your pills can’t help me out of the ‘long term rut’, why on earth should I buy them?
Sell them in 50s and 100s. Thanks, E$bb

  15. David Anthony says:

Wow…some of these posts are borderline nasty.

I agree that getting to the point is a good thing since all of us in this day and age are busy with life and we don’t want to have to sift through piles of information to get to the gem. But the point can be made genuinely and nicely. After all the info is free so we shouldn’t be overly critical.

    Now my question.

Does this product work for adrenal burnout?

  16. Shamsul says:

I’ve been taking St. John’s wort for a few years now
And it’s worked well for me.
How dies this new herb compare to St. John’s wort?
    Thanks for your time.

    • Segen Tekle says:

      Hi Shamsul,
Good question. The biggest reason many people shy away from St.John’s wort is that it’s not an herb that is easily taken with other medications. Additionally, St. John’s Wort can take up to 4 weeks to be effective whereas Zembrin (which is the source of sceletium) tends to work “on the spot,” in 30 minutes or less. Sceletium also offers a much wider range of benefits. In addition to mood balance, sceletium extract can improve the quality of your sleep while also supporting heart health and cognitive function! Hopefully this helps.

I’m wondering if this is like the “STRESS REGRESS” product made by Whole Body Research? That stuff made me a dummy, I have to stay on my toes.

We’re so excited to know our articles have helped you and your wife, that’s such great news!
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful feedback!

  19. Kirsten says:

I have just ordered CalmTrex and looking forward to try it. Just one thought: It says no interactions so that’s why I ordered it, does that include no interactions to anti depressants ( which I am on)
    I hope it’s ok

    • Segen Tekle says:

      Hi Kristen,
If you are currently on any medications, it’s highly suggested you consult with a physician prior to adding any supplements to your regimen.
It may be a helpful tip to print out a list of ingredients and show them to your doctor.

      Hope this helps!

  20. Kirsten says:

My psyciatrist doesn’t know about anything but Rx meds so it will be of no use asking him about these ingredients. I am thinking of maybe take a pill on occasion when I have something important on my schedule. Would that work ? Would that be safe?

    • Segen Tekle says:

      Hi Kirsten,
That should be fine– I would just refrain from taking taking medication and supplements at the same time to avoid any negative interactions.
      Hope this helps!

  21. Bonnie Hagen says:

I am currently taking Prozac antidepressant. Should I take Calmtrex if I am taking Prozac?

    • Segen Tekle says:

      Hi Bonnie,
If you are currently on any medication or prescription drugs, it is highly recommended that you consult with your physician prior to taking any additional vitamins and/or supplements to avoid possible complications. It may be a helpful tip to print out a list of the ingredients and show them to your doctor.
      Hope this helps!

    Hi Joshua,
I read your info on supplements with interest. Since I suffered from stress for several months I was interested in Calm Trex. Your offer lists a price per bottle – plus FREE SHIPPING. But alas, socalled free shipping is only valid for US states and territories!
As I live in Europe, I have to pay for shipping costs (15 dollars or more) on top of the supplement cost which I cannot afford. Why don’t you send your products from e. g. the UK? like many other companies do. Until then, I’m sorry to say your info is not for me. What do other Europeans do??

    Regards, Sheila

    • Segen Tekle says:

      Hi Sheila,
I’m going to shoot you an email in regards to international shipping!

  23. Charlotte Petro says:

To Kathy Whitney about B -12
    hello Kathy,
I am taking 1000 mcg of B -12 daily and I have no
problems. In fact, I am taking about a dozen vitamin products both morning and evening again
(different ones in the evening…) and I feel these help me to be super healthy for my age (almost 83).
Even my doctor commented me on my last physical, that I am doing surprisingly well for my age. So,dot not worry about your B-12, it is good for yo.

  24. B. Macnab says:

Please advise if Sceletium can be taken with Paxil.
    Thank you

      Hi there,
If you are currently on any medication or prescription drugs, it is highly recommended that you consult with your physician before starting any supplement regimen.
